After opting to bat first in Dubai, Nepal U-19 were let down by their batting line-up against India U-19. Although Bibhatsu put up some resistance with 47 at the top of the order and Aarif Sheikh scored a 40 lower down the order, the rest of the batsmen succumbed to the Yadav-led attack. Three batsmen returned to the dressing room without opening their accounts as the Indian colts bowled their opposition out in 44.4 overs.
India U-19 then chased down the paltry 137-run target with 149 balls to spare at the ICC Academy. Akhil Herwardkar, who had scored a century in the first match, made 71 in the 133-run opening stand with captain Vijay Zol. Shreyas Iyer then joined his skipper to take the team across the line. Zol remained unbeaten on 61 as the Indians attained the target with relative ease.
