Kuldeep Yadav claimed a five-for to set up India Under-19’s second consecutive win in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup match by 9 wickets on Sunday. The bowler claimed five for 31, while Karan Kaila and Sarfarz Khan picked two wickets each to bundle out Nepal Under-19 for 136. CV Milind chipped in with a wicket as well. India U-19 began their Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup campaign with a thumping 189-run win over UAE U-19 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Propelled by Akhil Herawadkar’s 101, they piled on 320 for four, while Deepak Hooda claimed four for 21 to help bowl UAE out for 131 in the Group A match. (Also Read:  Report: Ind U-19 v Nepal U-19, Asia Cup - 2013/14 ) Earlier, after Vijay Zol opted to bowl first, Ankush Bains and Herwadkar laid a solid foundation with a 162-run opening stand and set up the game in India’s favour. While Bains was bowled by Sajid Khan for 77, Zol was sent back for one by Pankaj Prakash. 29 runs later, Herwadkar returned for 101. However, Sanju Samson and Ricky Bhui capitalised on the platform built by the openers to take the team past 300 runs. With India U-19 comfortably placed on 306, Samson was removed by Prakash for 65. India U-19 Squad for ACC Asia Cup 2013/14

Maharashtra batsman Vijay Zol has been named captain of the India Under-19 squad for the ACC Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates, which will begin on December 28.  (Also Read:  ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2013-14: Schedule and Fixtures ) Kerala wicketkeeper Sanju Vishwanadh, who was part of the Under-19 team for the Asia Cup in 2012, has been appointed Zol's deputy. "The All-India Junior Selection Committee met in Delhi on 27th November to pick the Indian team for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup to be played in the UAE in December 2013-January 2014," said a statement from Anurag Thakur, Joint Secreatry, BCCI. Zol shot into limelight when he scored an unbeaten 451 during a domestic U-19 match in 2011. During the U-19 World Cup last year, he scored 151 runs in six matches at an average of 25.16.
