Wriddhiman Saha to Lead East Zone: DEODHAR TROPHY - 2013

Bengal's Wriddhiman Saha will lead a 15– member East Zone squad for their quarter-final match against South Zone in the Deodhar Trophy on March 10 at Nehru Stadium in Guwahati. The side will reach Guwahati on March 7. S Saikia from Assam will be the coach of the team.

East Zone Squad: Pallav Das and Shiv Shankar Roy (both Assam), Ishank Jaggi (Jharkhand), Gobind Poddar (Odisha), Saurabh Tiwari (Jharkhand), Mani Shankar Mura Singh ( Tripura), Pritam Das (Assam), Bassanta Mahanty (Odisha), Abu Nachim (Assam), Sami Ahmed (Bengal), Biplab Samantray (Odisha), Gokul Sharma (Assam), S Nadim (Jharkhand) and Iresh Saxena (Bengal).

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
