Parthiv Patel to Lead West Zone: DEODHAR TROPHY - 2013

Gujarat's Parthiv Patel will lead West Zone in the DB Deodhar Trophy one-day limited overs inter zonal knock-out cricket tournament to be played from March 16 to 19 at Mohali and Dharamsala. 

Mumbai's Ajinkya Rahane would be his deputy, said zonal selection panel convener Nitin Dalal on Tuesday. 

West would clash with East in the semifinal on March 17 at Mohali, the day after South and Central take on each other in the lone quarterfinal at the same venue. 

The other semifinal, between North and the winners of the quarterfinal between South and Central, is to be held at Dharamsala which will also host the final on March 19. 

West Zone squad: Parthiv Patel (Capt), Sheldon Jackson, Ambati Rayudu, Siddesh Lad, Kedar Jadhav, Yusuf Pathan, Abhishek Nayar, Munaf Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Rush Kalaria, Rakesh Dhruv, Kamlesh Makwana, Manpreet Juneja, Akshay Darekar, Vijay Zol.

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata.
