Sunrisers Hyderabad have roped in Tamil Nadu’s Thalaivan Sargunam for the Indian Premier League -6 starting on April 3.
Thalaivan, known for his swashbuckling batting style, recently scored an unbeaten 74 in the final of V.A.Parthasarathy Trophy, the limited-overs TNCA tournament, to single-handedly help Globe Trotters win the title. The 27-year-old, who is a good fielder and also bowls offspin, can be an utitliy player for the Hyderabad side captained by Kumar Sangakkara.
Thalaivan can also play the role of the opener and can also be pushed in as a floater depending on the situation. Thalaivan also has the experience of playing first-class cricket in Sri Lanka.
