83 Jacques Rudolph’s innings is his personal best and the fifth highest score by any Titans batsman in all T20 cricket.

41 Years 250 days - Brad Hogg’s age. He became the oldest to appear in a CLT20 main event match, beating Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Anil Kumble’s record of 39 years 342 days, while playing against the Chennai Super Kings at Durban in 2010. However, Sanath Jayasuriya remains the oldest to appear in any CLT20 match. He was 42 years and 83 days old while playing for Ruhuna against Leicestershire at Hyderabad in a qualifying game last year.

7 Rudolph and Davids provided the seventh instance of both openers scoring a fifty together in the same innings in CLT20.

3 Rudolph has now remained unbeaten in three consecutive innings in T20 cricket – 62* off 55 balls vs Dolphins in February 2012, 47* off 39 balls vs Impi in February 2012 and 83* off 59 balls in this match.

1 Titans’ win was the first for a side batting first in a Twenty20 match at Centurion in last 2 years (14 matches)!

Brief Scores: Titans 163-4 in 20 overs (Jacques Rudolph 83*, Henry Davids 54, Nathan Rimmington 2-20) beat Perth Scorchers 124-7 in 20 overs (Mitchell Marsh 52*, CJ de Villiers 3-16) by 39 runs.

Man of the Match: CJ de Villiers, for his spell of 3 for 16, which broke the backbone of the Perth Scorchers line-up.

van Jaarsveld: "I thought we lost a little bit of momentum in the back end of our innings. It was fantastic to see our bowlers get the ball in the right areas. It is huge for us to start like this and we have gathered momentum straight away. Playing at home is going to be big for us, it's almost like having a 12th man with a crowd like this."

North: "Titans started really well, I thought we pulled it back to a par score but we left too much work for our middle order. We know that our top four have to make the majority of the runs but we couldn't do that today. It's all about executing next game, this is a very tough competition so we will need to prepare well."
