Milestones-3rd ODI

• James Anderson’s 150th ODI. He became only the fourth English player after Paul Collingwood (197), Alec Stewart (170) and Darren Gough (159).
India lost their first four wickets with only 25 runs. That was their worst start against England. Before they were 34 for four at Rose Bowl in 2007.

Rahul Dravid was run-out for the 40th time in his ODI career. He equaled Pakistan’s Inzamam-ul-Haq’s tally of run-outs. Now only Marvan Atapattu (41) is on top than Dravid.
• The 112-run partnership between MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja is India’s best 3rd wicket partnership against England. The 121-run between Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif at Lord’s in 2002 is the before recored.
• The Dhoni-Jadeja partnership is only the 5th century stand for the 6th wicket for India against England in ODIs. Dhoni features in three of them.

• The 59-run partnership between R Ashwin and Jadeja is the highest 7th wicket stand for India against England. The previous record was 52 between Brijesh Patel and Abid Ali at Leeds in 1974.
• Jadeja’s 78 run was his highest ODI score, unbeaten 61 against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo in 2010 is his before best.
• India scored 51 runs for one wicket in the batting powerplay. It is India’s best against England. They had scored 41 for two at Rajkot in 2008.

• R Ashwin’s strike-rate of 189.47 (36 off 19 balls) is the highest for an Indian scoring at least 25 at No. 8 against England. Kapil Dev made the previous record with a strike-rate of 162.16 (60 off 37 balls) at Leeds in 1982.
• Interestingly, from Ajit Agarkar’s against Zimbabwe and Now R Ashwin are only two better performances (strike-rate-wise) for India against any opponent.
• India hasn’t won a single international match on this England tour yet.
• Ravindra Jadeja won his third Man-of-the-Match award.
