England Under-19 beat defending champions India Under-19 by three wickets to advance to the ICC U-19 CWC semi-final. After restricting the Vijay Zol-led side to 221, they chased down the target with five balls to spare in a thrilling finish at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After Sanju Samson powered India Under-19 to 301, their bowlers skittled out Papua New Guinea Under-19 for 56 to claim a 245-run win at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. With a five-wicket win over Scotland U19, India U19 registered their second successive win in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup in Dubai. After spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Aamir Gani set up the game in India’s favour by bowling the opposition out for 88, the Indian top-order collapsed but Sarfaraz Khan once again salvaged the tottering lineup to take the side to a convincing victory.  (Also Read:  INDIA U19 vs Pakistan U19 - ICC U19 CWC 2014 ) Yadav and Gani claimed four wickets each to skittle the opposition out for 88 after Scotland opted to bat first in the league match. India Under-19 won their tournament opener against Pakistan Under-19 by 40 runs. After the loss of early wickets Sanju Samson and Sarfaraz Khan revived the innings with a 119-run stand to help set up the match. After Aamir Gani broke Pakistan’s flourishing opening partnership, Deepak Hooda claimed five for 41 to help the team to a thumping win.  Earlier, after opting to bat first, India U19 got off to a flying start but from 65 without loss they were reduced to 94 for four by the opposition. Defending champions India are set to begin their campaign to retain the ICC Under-19 World Cup Trophy under the leadership of Vijay Zol. India will open its ICC U19 Cricket World Cup title defence against traditional rival and two-time former champion Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS), Dubai Sports City, on 15 February 2014. The tournament will be staged across seven venues in the UAE from 14 February to 1 March, and will also be participated in by Afghanistan, Canada, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Scotland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) besides the 10 Full Members. India, which also won the tournament under Mohammad Kaif and Virat Kohli in 2000 and 2008, respectively, defeated Pakistan by one-wicket in an enthralling semi-final before going on to beat Australia by six wickets in the 2012 final in Townsville, Australia. In the 2010 event in New Zealand, Pakistan beat India in a last-ball thriller in the quarter-final in Lincoln. The two sides also met in the final of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2006 in Colombo where Pakistan defended a modest total of 110 to win by 39 runs....

With a glorious unbeaten century, skipper Unmukt Chand led India to a six-wicket win over defending champions Australia to lift the ICC Under-19 World Cup. In a chase of 226, Chand, who opened the innings for India, struck 111 (7x4, 6x6) off 130 balls. His 130-run unbroken partnership with Smit Patel (62*) took India over the finish line at the Tony Ireland Stadium. After India lost opener Prashant Chopra for a duck, Unmukt Chand and Baba Aparajith added 73 runs for the second wicket to take the score to 75 for two in the 15th over. Scoring at a quick pace, the duo had forced Australian captain, William Bosisto, to push back his fielders to stem the flow of runs. ICC Under-19 World Cup, 15th Match, Group C: India Under-19s v Zimbabwe Under-19s at Tony Ireland Stadium, Townsville, Aug 14, 2012: India beat Zimbabwe by 63 Runs in their Second match of the ICC U-19 World Cup. Kamal Passi is the Man of the Match. 6-23 with the ball and 24 runs off 5 balls. Unmukt:  Bowling was our weaklink. But the way Passi bowled, it was fantastic. This was their first match and they were brilliant.

ICC Under-19 World Cup, 7th Match, Group C: India Under-19s v West Indies Under-19s at Townsville, Aug 12, 2012: West Indies beat India by 4 wickets in their first match of the ICC U-19 World Cup. This is West Indies's first win over India in the U-19 World Cup since 1988. Kyle Mayers is the Man of the Match for 43 runs and 2-10 with the ball. Chand: "Our batting didn't do well today. The wicket supported bowlers. It was seaming. We'll take many positives out from this match. Our spinners have been doing well. We thought they'll succeed on this wicket.
