The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Mumbai earlier today to select the Indian teams for the tour of Australia for a four-Test series. Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Wriddhiman Saha, Naman Ojha, R. Ashwin, Karn Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Mohd. Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron. Virat Kohli will lead India in the first Test, starting on 4 December 2014, in Brisbane. M.S. Dhoni has been rested for the first Test as a prophylactic measure to ensure optimum recovery. Wriddhiman Saha has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing Test series between India and England, due to injury. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked Naman Ojha as his replacement. Ojha will join the squad at the earliest.  source: bcci.tv

The first four-day match between Australia A and India A ended in a draw at the Allan Border field in Brisbane. While both teams got off to a shaky start in their first innings, they were helped to massive totals by their lower middle-order batsmen. While Naman Ojha’s unbeaten double-century salvaged the visitors, Mitchell Marsh’s double-ton revived the hosts to help pull off a draw.  (Also Read:  Report: Australia A vs India A – Day 3 ) With the distant possibility of a result, India A posted 285 for five in their second innings on the fourth day, courtesy some stellar batting performances from Naman Ojha and Ambati Rayudu. Naman Ojha scored a magnificent double century to put India in a dominating position in the first four-day game against Australia A. The wicketkeeper-batsman was unbeaten on 219 when India A declared their first innings on 475 for nine. The India A attack led by Jasprit Bumrah (3/42) further strengthened the visitors position. The hosts were trailing by 349 runs with four wickets in hand at the end of second day’s play. India A were 304 for six at the end of Day 1 of the first four-day match against Australia A in Brisbane. Skipper Manoj Tiwary top-scored for the visitors after electing to bat at the Allan Border Field and was ably supported by Jiwanjot Singh in salvaging the innings after losing three wickets for just 43 runs. At stumps, Dhawal Kulkarni was batting on 12 with Ojha.  Earlier, on the first day of the tour, Robin Uthappa opened the innings with Karnataka teammate Lokesh Rahul however; their partnership was cut short for 35 by Ben Cutting.
