Mumbai: What do eight-year-olds usually do? They go to school, watch cartoons at home and maybe play sports for fun. However, here is an incredible story of an eight-year-old from Mumbai, who doesn't just play cricket. He plays cricket with the professionals

Meet Musheer Khan, a eight-year old, who played 42 deliveries and batted for over an hour on his debut in the Kanga League, one of the most famous and prestigious cricket tournaments in Mumbai.

So doesn't Musheer get scared while playing against senior professionals? "Since I was a child I've been playing with my elder brother and senior cricketers so I don't get scared easily" says Musheer.

Cricket runs in his genes, Musheer's elder brother Sarfaraz scored a record breaking 439 in a inter-school match in 2009, which in fact was the highest individual score in an inter- school competition in India, until the record was broken in 2013.

In fact Sarfaraz was also the youngest player to make his debut in the Kanga league in 2007 at the age of 10, a record that has now been broken by his younger brother.

"Musheer has proved that he deserves to play in the Kanga League. He performed exceedingly well in a tournament organised by  Bombay Gymkhana where he picked up 21 wickets in 8 matches He was also adjudged as the best bowler of that tournament" says his father and coach Naushad.

His talent with the bat aside, Musheer is also a talented spinner, who's incredibly dismissed Yuvraj Singh during a friendly match last month. But Musheer doesn't want to restrict himself and aspires to become a genuine all-rounder.

"I want to bat like Sachin Tendulkar and bowl like Daniel Vettori" says Musheer.
