This match was the fourth between India and Pakistan – first outside the ICC World Twenty20.
Umar Gul was playing his 50th Twenty20 International.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Irfan were making their Twenty20 International debut. They became the 45th and 50th players to represent India and Pakistan respectively.
At 7 ft 1 in Mohammad Irfan is the tallest player ever to play international cricket.
India’s total of 133/9 is their lowest ever against Pakistan. Their previous lowest was 141/9 at Durban in 2007.

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable. In doing so, he etched his name in the history books by posting the highest individual score in ODI cricket and became the only batsman to post two double hundreds in the 50-over format till date.
