Perth Scorchers win by 16 runs

  • North: It’s been a frustrating campaign for us so it was nice to finish with a win. I think at the start of the day 150 looked good but in the end we were ok with 140. It played a little slower than we first thought but once we adjusted, we scored runs. Hogg and Beer were our go to guys back home. Hogg’s been fantastic and Beer’s been our bowler of the tournament.
  • Hopkins: I was happy with 140. It was tough to bat on and I thought the Scorchers batted well. They showed us how to play on a slightly slower wicket. The problem for us was that wickets kept on falling and it is hard to get started when that keeps happening. We’ve picked guys in the middle order who have done it for us back home. We came here to win so we are disappointed.
