Shahrukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders - IPL Cricket Team

The Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders. In the first three editions the Kolkata hero Ganguly was lead the team. But they are failing to qualify for the knockout stage in the first three editions of the IPL.

In the IPL Player Auction 2011, the Knight Riders brought the most expensive players like Gautam Gambhir at USD 2.4 million, Yusuf Pathan at USD 2.1 million, and Jacques Kallis was bought at USD 1.1 million. And also they brought Brad Haddin, Brett Lee, Ryan ten Doeschate, Shakib Al Hasan, L Balaji and Manoj Tiwary.

They won eight of their 14 league games making it to the IPL Playoffs as one of the four best sides in the competition at IPL 2011. KKR now qualified team in CLT20 2011.

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
