India romped home against Sri Lanka in the one and only Twenty20 International of the tour. Here are some statistical highlights from the match.

# India (155/3) have registered their lowest total against Sri Lanka in T20Is.

# Sri Lanka (116) have recorded the lowest completed innings total in India-Sri Lanka T20Is.

# Ashok Dinda (4/19) has recorded his best bowling figures in T20Is, eclipsing the 2 for 15 against Zimbabwe at Harare on June 13, 2010.

# Dinda's above performance is the best by a bowler against Sri lanka at Pallekele in T20Is - the second best overall at this venue. Ajantha Mendis (SL) had captured six for 16 against Australia on August 8, 2011 - the best figures in T20Is.

# Dinda's excellent figures are the best by an Indian bowler against Sri Lanka in T20Is, eclipsing the 3 for 23 by Yuvraj Singh at Mohali on December 12, 2009.

# Dinda's above performance is the joint second best for India in T20Is. Zaheer had bagged four wickets for 19 runs against Ireland at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on June 10, 2009.

# Rudra Pratap Singh had captured 4 for 13 against South Africa at Durban on September 20, 2007 - the best by an Indian bowler in T20Is.

# Apart from Dinda, RP Singh and Zaheer, Pragyan Ojha is the only other Indian bowler to capture four wickets in a T20I - 4 for 21 against Bangladesh at Nottingham on June 6, 2009.

# With 162 runs at an average of 40.50 in five matches, Suresh Raina is the top Indian run-scorer against Sri Lanka, surpassing the 136 (ave.27.20) in five matches by Gautam Gambhir.

# Raina's aggregate of 631 at an average of 33,21 in 26 matches is the second highest for India in T20Is. Gautam Gambhir's tally of 752 (ave.31.33) in 27 matches is the highest.

# India's well-deserved 39-run win is their largest by runs' margin, eclipsing the 37-run win over South Africa at Durban on September 20, 2007.

# Sri Lanka have lost their first game at Pallekele. They had defeated Australia last year in the first two games played at this venue.

# Shaminda Eranga has become the first bowler in the history to take a wicket each in his first over in Tests, ODIs and T20Is

# Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli were associated in a partnership of 74 for the second wicket - India's highest against Sri Lanka in T20Is, eclipsing the 66 between Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina at Gros Islet on May 11, 2010.

# Virat Kohli (68) has posted his career-best score in T20Is - his maiden fifty.

# Kohli became the fifth Indian batsman to register a fifty against Sri Lanka in T20Is. He has joined Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir.

# Kohli's aforesaid innings is the highest by an Indian batsman against Sri Lanka in T20Is, bettering Virender Sehwag's 64 at Mohali on December 12, 2009.

# Kohli became the first Indian batsman to post a fifty against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.

# Dhoni now holds a record with most matches (31) as captain in Twenty20 Internationals, surpassing Paul Collingwood's tally of 30 games.

# For the first time in a T20I, Irfan Pathan has bagged the wickets of the top three batsmen.

# Pathan's superb figures of 3 for 27 are his best against Sri Lanka - his second best in T20Is - the best being 3 for 16 against Pakistan at Johannesburg on September 24, 2007.

# Pathan, with 20 wickets at 23.30 in 18 matches, is the leading wicket-taker for India in the T20Is.

# Pathan has got his second Man of the Match award in T20Is - his first was against Pakistan at Johannesburg on September 24, 2007.

# Tillakaratne Dilshan has recorded his fourth duck in T20Is - his first against India.

# Mahela Jayawardene (26) has posted his highest score against India in T20Is.

Virat Kohli is the Player of the Series, for one match, yes, one match. He gets a bike for that.

Irfan Pathan: "Wickets at the top of the order help. Mahela was going great guns. The ball was swinging and we knew that if we got wickets, it would be difficult for the SL batsmen. Our bowling coach has been keeping a good eye on us. God has been kind to me. I want to continue my good form."

Jayawardene: "We thought 150 was achievable. We're making a lot of mistakes. We'e still playing good cricket. When you come across a team like India it is tough. The SLPL should be a good preparation for the World T20."

Dhoni: "Overall we were really good. The ball was swinging till the 20th over so not easy to slog. We thought we were 15 short. Our strength is having the 7th batsman in the side. The wickets have changed here. When I first came here the ball used to stop a lot. But now the pitches have been relaid. I think we mastered our bowling and batting better than them."

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
