Dwayne Bravo makes all-round impact

West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo has made an all-round impact on the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for ODIs, after helping his side level the five-match series against New Zealand 2-2.

Bravo jumped 15 places to 68th on the batting table after ending as the top run-getter in the series with 217 runs. Bravo’s seven wickets in four games helped him move up 13 places to 52nd on the bowlers’ table.

New Zealand’s Corey Anderson has jumped 77 places to 85th in the latest Reliance ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen. The highlight of Anderson’s performance during the series was when he slammed the fastest-ever ODI hundred, off just 36 balls, breaking Shahid Afridi’s 17 year record by one ball.

Anderson’s partner during the record-breaking innings, Jesse Ryder, who himself stroked the sixth fastest ODI hundred has moved up 27 places to 55th in the batting table.

Sunil Narine continues to be the highest ranked West Indies bowler, even after he moved down a place to fourth, while Nathan McCullum in 28th position (up by five) is the only New Zealand bowler making an upward move.

Meanwhile, the 2-2 series result meant that seventh-ranked West Indies and eighth-ranked New Zealand retained their pre-series positions, with Brendon McCullum’s side making a gain of one ratings point to end at 86.
