The 35-year-old will lead Mumbai in the first game against Haryana and coach Sulakshan Kulkarni believes that his senior pro is geared up for a comeback. “He was very impressive in the nets. He bowled his heart out. He bowled a long spell and looked in good shape,” Kulkarni said after Mumbai’s practice session at the Wankhede Stadium. While Zaheer refused to comment, Kulkarni added that he is in good rhythm after an impressive show for India A. “He has played 2-3 games for India A (against the touring West Indies A). He was in good touch and good rhythm.” The team for the two match Test series against West Indies is likely to be announced on October 29 a day before the sixth ODI against Australia and the fourth day of the opening Ranji fixtures.
