Top 10 Scorers in Ranji Trophy

Wasim-Jaffer-Ranji-Trophy
 1.  Mumbai player Wasim Jaffer is the highest scorer in Ranji Trophy at the moment with 9,155 runs. He overtook former teammate Amol Muzumdar to top the charts in December 2011. Jaffer has been since competing with Mazumdar in the race for the highest scorer. Jaffer has played 212 first class matches, scoring 16,241 runs with 48 tons, with the highest score of 314 not out.

2. Former Mumbai player Amol Mazumdar has been a prolific scorer in domestic cricket, but never made it to the national side. He occupies the second spot in highest scorers' list in Ranji with 9,105 runs, just a tad short of Wasim Jaffer's total runs. Mazumdar currently plays for Assam. He has played 166 first class matches, hitting 11,070 runs, with 30 tons and highest score of 260.
Hrishikesh-Kanitkar-Ranji-Trophy
3.  Hrishikesh Kanitkar is no 3rd in the list with 7,885 runs. He played for different teams such as Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Kanitkar is known for scoring off the winning runs against Pakistan in the Independence Cup final in 1998. In 141 first class matches, Kanitkar scored 10,226 runs, 33 tons, with the highest score of 290.
Amarjit-Kaypee-Ranji-Trophy
4.  Amarjit Kaypee is no 4th in the list of highest run-getters in Ranji. Kaypee scored 7,623 runs. Kaypee played for Haryana and Punjab. In 117 first class matches, he scored 7,894 runs, 27 tons, with the highest score of 210 not out.

5.  Pankaj Dharmani takes the fifth spot with 7,621 runs. He was a wicketkeeper batsman for Punjab. He played 147 first class matches, scoring 9,312 runs, 26 tons, with the highest score of 305 not out.
Shitanshu-Kotak-Ranji-Trophy

6.  Shitanshu Kotak is at no 6 with 7,542 runs in Ranji Trophy. Kotak played for Saurashtra. In 129 first class matches, he scored 7,996 runs, 15 tons, with the highest score of 168 not out.
Ajay-Kumar-Sharma-Ranji-Trophy

7.  Ajay Kumar Sharma scored 7,438 runs and is seventh on the list. He has played 129 first class matches, scoring 10,120 runs, 38 tons, with the highest score of 259 not out. However, his career received a jolt, when he was banned for life for match fixing.
Jacob-Martin-Ranji-Trophy
8.  Jacob Martin is eighth on the list with 7,329 runs. He played for Baroda and Railways and in 138 first class matches, scored 9,192 runs, 23 tons, with the highest score of 271.
Ashok-Malhotra-Ranji-Trophy
9.  Ashok Malhotra scored 7,274 runs and occupies the 9th spot in highest run getters' list in Ranji. In 156 first class matches, he scored 9,784 runs, 24 tons, with the highest score of 258 not out. He played seven Tests for India, scoring 226 runs.
Brijesh-Patel-Ranji-Trophy
10.  Brijesh Patel with 7,126 runs in Ranji occupies the 10th spot. He played 203 first class matches, scoring 11,911 runs. He also played 21 Tests for India, scoring 972 runs. He was also part of coaching staff of Royals Challengers Bangalore in IPL.
