T20 stats: Upcoming milestones ahead of IPL 6

Cricket is all about facts and figures. The Indian Premier League is no different. The slam-bang variety of the game is not only about fours and sixes, but wickets and catches as well. Who says it's a batsman's game? Check out the approaching milestones listed below. All facts are updated till April 3, 2013.

IPL-6-2013-Captains-Lineup

* David Hussey has played 198 games so far and requires two more game for his 200th game. If he plays in two more game, he would become the second cricketer to appear in 200 T20 games in its history. Albie Morkel has played 215 T20 games.

* David Hussey has an aggregate of 4821 runs and requires 179 runs for his 5000 runs. Chris Gayle is not far behind. He has an aggregate of 4804 runs and requires 196 runs for his 5000 runs. It depends on how fast Hussey and Gayle reach 5000 runs to become the second and third batsman to score 5000 runs in T20 games

* Gayle has scored 349 sixes and requires one more for his 350th six. If he gets it, he would become the first batsman in the history of T20 games to score 350 fours and 350 sixes. He has already scored 366 fours.

* Ross Taylor has scored 194 sixes and requires six more sixes for his 200 sixes. If he gets them, he would then become the fifth batsman in the history of T20 games to score 200 sixes. Others are -Gayle (349), Kieron Pollard (240), Brendon McCullum (201) and David Hussey (200).

* Brad Hodge has scored 36 half centuries and four more half centuries would fetch him 40 half centuries and with it he owns the record of becoming the first batsman in the history of T20 games to score 40 half centuries.

* Owais Shah has an aggregate of 4475 runs prior to the start of IPL. He requires 25 more runs for his 4500 runs. If he gets them, he would become the fifth batsman to amass 4500 runs in the history of T20 games. Others are - Brad Hodge, David Hussey, Chirs Gayle and Brendon McCullum.

* Brad Hodge has scored 148 sixes and requires two more sixes for his 150th six. If he gets them, he would become the only batsman in the history of T20 games to score 500 fours and 150 sixes. He has already scored 549 fours.

* Chris Gayle has scored 33 half centuries and need two more for his 35th half century. If he gets it, he would then become the second batsman in the history of T20 games to score 35 half centuries after Brad Hodge who has an aggregate of 36 half centuries.

* Suresh Raina who has scored 144 sixes, need six more sixes for his 150 sixes. If he gets them, he would then become the first Indian batsman to score 150 sixes.

* Brad Hodge has scored 148 sixes and Suresh Raina scored 144 sixes and require two and six more sixes for their 150th six. If they get them, then they would become the 11th and 12th batsmen to score 150 plus sixes in the history of T20 games - depending on who gets to their 150th six first.

* Kieron Pollard has scored 240 sixes so far and requires ten more sixes for his 250th six. If he gets it he would then become the second batsman to score 250 plus sixes after Chris Gayle. Gayle has scored 350 sixes.

* Brad Hodge has scored 38 fifties and requires two more fifties for his 40th fifty. If he gets it, he would then become the second batsman in the history of T20 games to score 40 plus fifties after Chris Gayle. Gayle has scored 43 fifties.

* Mahela Jayawardene, Michael Lumb, and Gautam Gambhir have scored - 389, 386 and 384 - fours, respectively, prior to the start of the IPL 6. They require 11, 14 and 16 fours to aggregate 400 fours in T20 games. If they get it, they would become the fourth, fifth and sixth batsman to score 400 fours in the history of T20 games - depending upon who gets the 400 fours first.

* Gautam Gambhir has scored 384 fours and require 16 more to get his 400th four. If he gets them, he would become the first Indian batsman to score 400 fours in the history of T20 games.

* David Warner has scored 29 fifties and requires one more for his 30th fifty. If he gets it, he would then become the third batsman in the history of T20 games to score 30 plus fifties. Others are - Chris Gayle (43) and Brad Hodge (29).

* David Warner has scored 24 half centuries and requires one more for his 25th half century. If he gets, he would become the ninth batsman in the history of T20 games to score 25 plus half centuries. Others are - Brad Hodge (36), Chris Gayle (33), Herschelle Gibbs (28), Shaun Marsh (26), David Hussey (26), Jacques Kallis (26), Gautam Gambhir (26) and Owais Shah (25).

* Rohit Sharma has scored 23 fifties and requires two more fifties for his 25th fifty. If he gets them he would then become the second Indian batsman after Gautam Gambhir to score 25 plus fifties. Gambhir has scored 26 fifties.

* Brad Hodge has scored 148 sixes and 549 fours. Two more sixes would fetch him his 150th six. He would then become the sixth batsman in the history of T20 games to scores 300 fours and 150 sixes. Others are - Brendon McCullum (441 fours and 201 sixes), David Warner (403 fours and 177 sixes), CH Gayle (366 fours and 349 sixes), Owais Shah (349 fours and 176 sixes) and David Hussey (326 fours and 200 sixes).

* Suresh Raina has scored 301 fours and 144 sixes. He requires six more sixes for his 150th six. If he gets them, he would then become the seventh batsman to score 300 fours and 150 sixes (taking into account that Brad Hodge had achieved the feat).

* Owais Shah has scored 349 fours. One more four would fetch him his 350th four. He would then become the eleventh batsman in the history of T20 games to score 350 fours. Others are - Brad Hodge (549), Brendon McCullum (441), David Warner (403), Herschelle Gibbs (395), Mahela Jayawardene (389), Michael Lumb (386), Gautam Gambhir (386), Chris Gayle (366), Tillakaratne Dilshan (358) and Kumar Sangakkara (355).

* Brad Hodge has scored 549 fours and needs one more four for his 550th four. If he gets it, he would then become the only batsman to score 550 fours in the history of T20 games.

* Michael Lumb and David Hussey share the record for the second place with 14 ducks to their credit amongst the batsmen who have scored most zeroes in T20 games. One more duck to both of them would be their 15th duck in T20 games. Herschelle Gibbs owns the record for most ducks in T20 games. Tillakaratne Dilshan has scored 13 ducks.

* Lasith Malinga has captured 192 wickets in T20 games. He needs eight more wickets for his 200 wickets. If he gets them, he would become the third bowler in the history of T20 games to capture 200 plus wickets. Others are Alfonso Thomas (211) and Dirk Nannes (210)

* Alfonso Thomas and Dirk Nannes have captured 211 and 210 wickets, respectively, in T20 games. They occupy the first and second place amongst the bowlers who have captured most wickets in T20 games. Both have a chance to replace one another to occupy the first place depending upon the number of wickets they capture in ensuing IPL sixth edition

* Lasith Malinga has captured four or more wickets on nine occasions in T20 games. One more four wickets haul would fetch him his 10th four-wicket haul. He would then become the second bowler in the history of T20 games to capture 10 four wicket hauls after Umar Gul. Gul has captured four wickets in an innings on 10 occasions.

* Lasith Malinga who has the record for most five-wicket hauls in T20 games - four - requires one more such haul to earn the distinction of becoming the first bowler in the history of T20 games to capture five or more wickets on five occasions.

* Albie Morkel who holds the record for most wickets on a specific ground - 36 wickets at Chepauk - requires four more wickets for his 40 wickets. If he gets them, he would then become the fifth bowler in the history of T20 games to capture 40 plus wickets on a specific ground. Others are - NM Carter of Warwickshire - 45 wickets at Edgbaston, Birmingham, G Keedy of Lancashire - 42 wickets at Old Trafford, Manchester, SR Patel of England and Nottinghamshire - 41 wickets at Trent Bridge, Nottingham and GR Breese of Durham - 40 wickets at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street.

* Albie Morkel who holds the record for most wickets on a specific ground - 36 wickets at Chepauk - requires four more wickets for his 40 wickets. If he gets them, he would then become the first bowler in the history of IPL to capture 40 plus wickets on a specific ground.

* Alfonso Thomas has bowled 13 maiden overs in his T20 career. He occupies the second place in the list of bowlers who have bowled most maiden overs in the history of T20 games. The first place is occupied by Praveen Kumar who has bowled 14 maiden overs. One more maiden over by Thomas would be his 14th and he would then share the record for most maiden overs with Kumar and two more maiden over would make him to own the record for most maiden overs bowled in the history of T20 games.

* Dirk Nannes and Irfan Pathan have bowled nine maiden overs and one more maiden over bowled by them would be their 10th maiden over. If they bowl them, they would become the fourth and fifth bowlers to bowl ten or more maiden overs in the history of T20 games - depending upon who bowls first. Others are - Praveen Kumar (14), Alfonso Thomas (13) and Lasith Malinga (10).

* Mahendra Singh Dhoni has effected 92 dismissals and would require eight more for his 100 dismissals. If he makes them, he would then become the third wicket keeper in the history of T20 games to make 100 plus dismissals. Others are - Kamran Akmal (132) and Kumar Sangakkara (101).

* Kumar Sangakkara has taken 67 catches and three more catches would give him 70 catches. If gets them, he would then become the first wicket keeper to pouch 70 catches in the history of T20 games. He would also own the record for most catches in T20 games. He would go past Dinesh Ramdin and Kamran Akmal who have pouched 69 catches.

* Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken 59 catches and one more catch would be his 60th catch. He would then become the fifth wicket keeper in the history of T20 games to pouch 60 plus catches. Others are - D Ramdin (69), Kamran Akmal (69), Kumar Sangakkara (67) and Adam Gilchrist (62).

* Kieron Pollard has taken 91 catches. He needs nine more catches for his 100th catch. If he gets them, he would then become the second fieldsman in the history of T20 games to pouch 100 plus catches after David Hussey. Hussey has taken 108 catches.

* Ross Taylor has taken 74 catches and needs one more for his 75th catch. If he takes it, he would then become the third fieldsman in the history of T20 games to take 75 plus catches. Others are - David Hussey (108) and Kieron Pollard (91).

* Brad Hodge has taken 72 catches and needs three more catches for his 75th catch, If he takes it, he would then become the fourth fieldsman in the history of T20 games to take 75 plus catches. Others are David Hussey, Kieron Pollard.

* Suresh Raina has taken 68 catches and needs two more catches for his 70th catch. If he takes it, he would then become the sixth fieldsman and also the first Indian fieldsman to take 70 plus catches in the history of T20 games. Others are - David Hussey, Kieron Pollard, Ross Taylor, Herschelle Gibbs and Brad Hodge.

* Mahendra Singh Dhoni has won 74 T20 games so far in 133 games he has captained. One more win would be his 75th win and with it the record of becoming the first captain to win 75 T20 games.

* Kumar Sangakkara has led 71 games and one more captaincy assignment would be his 72nd. He would then occupy the second place in the list of captains who have led most T20 games in the history of T20 games. Mahendra Singh Dhoni occupies the first place with 133 captaincy assignments.

* Brad Hodge and Azhar Mahmood share the second place for most "Man of the Match" awards. Both the cricketers have earned 21 such awards. The first place is occupied by Chris Gayle who has won 26 such awards.

* Rohit Sharma (1975) and Jacques Kallis (1965) require 25 and 35 runs to aggregate 2000 runs in IPL. If they get them, they would become the fourth and fifth batsman to total 2000 plus runs in IPL - depending upon who gets them first. Others are - Suresh Raina (2254), Gautam Gambhir (2065) and Sachin Tendulkar (2047).

* Gautam Gambhir and Jacques Kallis share the record for most fifties in IPL. Both the batsmen have scored 16 fifties. They have a chance to overtake each other in the ensuing IPL depending on the number of fifties they score.

* Chris Gayle, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma share the second place for most number of fifties in IPL. All the three have scored 15 fifties. All the three have a chance to occupy the first place at the end of the ensuing IPL depending on the number of fifties they score.

* Amit Mishra and Rudra Pratap Singh share the second place for most number of wickets in IPL. Both the bowlers have captured 74 wickets. One more wicket to these bowlers would be their 75th wicket. Depending upon who takes the 75th wicket first, they would become the second and third bowler in IPL to capture 75 wickets. Lasith Malinga occupies the first place with 83 wickets.

* Pragyan Ojha and Albie Morkel have captured 69 wickets. One more wicket to these two bowlers would fetch them their 70th wicket. Depending upon who gets their 70th wicket first, they would become sixth and seventh bowler to capture 70 plus wickets in IPL. Others are - Lasith Malinga (83), Amit Mishra (74), Rudra Pratap Singh (74), Piyush Chawla (73) and Munaf Patel (70).

* Anil Kumble, Laxmipathy Balaji, Munaf Patel and Lasith Malinga share the record for most number of four or more wicket hauls in IPL. All the four bowlers have taken three four-plus wicket hauls in IPL. As Anil Kumble is not participating in the sixth edition of IPL, other three bowlers have a chance to own the record of most four-wicket haul in IPL if they capture one four-wicket haul in the ensuing IPL

* Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina share the record for most catches in IPL. Both the fieldsmen have pouched 42 catches. Both these fieldsmen have chance to occupy the first place depending on the number of catches they take in the ensuing IPL.

* Mahendra Singh Dhoni has won 46 matches out of the 78 matches in which he has led Chennai Super Kings. Four more wins would give him 50 wins and with it he would own the record of becoming the first captain to win 50 games in IPL.
