Rain played spoilsport as the match between the Delhi Daredevils and Auckland Aces had to be abandoned without a single ball being bowled. The heavens opened up much before the match was due to begin and did not let up to even allow for a five-over contest. Both teams took home two points from the match.

Prior to this match, the Delhi Daredevils ousted the Kolkata Knight Riders in their only Group fixture, while the Auckland Aces defeated KKR before losing to the Titans. This result – and teams taking home only two points from the match – will hit the Auckland Aces hard as they now have only six points from three matches. They now need to win their last match against the Perth Scorchers to push for a place in the semi-finals. The Delhi Daredevils meanwhile continue to remain second in group standings with six points, but they have two more matches to play.

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
