# Royal Challengers Bangalore have registered their third win in six matches in the present tournament.

# Punjab have won two and lost four out of six contested in IPL 2012.

# Shaun Marsh (26 off 17 balls) has managed 131 runs at an average of 32.75 in five matches - the second highest tally for Punjab in the present competition.

# David Hussey took his runs' tally in Twenty20 to 4384 (ave.31.53) in 177 games - the most by a batsman.

# Hussey's 41 off 34 balls is the second highest individual innings for Kings XI Punjab in the present tournament.

# Azhar Mahmood (33 not out), is averaging 30-plus in Twenty20 - 2390 runs at 30.25 in 118 matches.

# Parvinder Awana (4/34) has recorded his best bowling performance in Twenty20 - his first four-wicket haul.

# Awana is the first Punjab bowler to bag four wickets in an innings against Bangalore at Mohali in IPL.

# Chris Gayle (87 off 56 balls) has recorded his sixth fifty for Bangalore in the IPL. He is averaging 61.00 for Bangalore in the IPL, managing 854 runs in 17 matches, including two centuries and six fifties.

# Gayle has taken his tally of sixes to 19 - the most in the present competition. His 89 sixes overall is a record in the IPL.

# Gayle and de Villiers put on 131 - Bangalore's highest partnership for any wicket in the IPL, eclipsing the 126 (unbroken) for the second wicket between Jacques Kallis and Robin Uthappa against Mumbai Indians at Johannesburg on May 3, 2009.

# The 131-run stand is the highest fourth wicket partnership in the IPL, eclipsing the 128 between David Warner and Paul Collingwood against Kolkata at Delhi on March 29, 2010.

David Hussey's men just fell 15/20 runs short with the bat, again they struggled to hit many to the boundary and it cost them. Kings XI are in a real slump now and need to get back to winning ways before they fall out of contention.

  • Vettori: “The way Chris and AB played was superb, Chris' power enables him to change the game in one over and AB supported him very well. We put ourselves in a tough position losing three in a row, but hopefully now the players will step up and there is a long way to go yet.”
  • Hussey: “Mahmood got us back in it and pushed us to a par score, probably about 10 runs short in the end. I thought we bowled superbly and I can't be too upset about our performance in the end, we were one wicket away from winning the game.”

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
