Indian Cricket Team Updates

The 2015 season of the Pepsi IPL will commence on Wednesday, 8 April 2015, and conclude on Sunday, 24 May, 2015. The first Trading Window for the tournament opened on Monday, 6 October 2014. Two players have been traded so far. Mumbai Indians have acquired Unmukt Chand from Rajasthan Royals and R. Vinay Kumar from Kolkata Knight Riders, respectively.  Mumbai Indians have also released Michael Hussey and Praveen Kumar (Pepsi IPL 2014 Replacement Player), both of whom may enter the Pepsi IPL 2015 Player Auction. The first Trading Window will close on Friday, 12 December 2014. The IPL Governing Council has also decided the windows for the 2016 and 2017 seasons of the tournament. The Pepsi IPL 2016 will be played in the window between Friday, 8 April 2016 and Sunday, 29 May 2016. Out of the national fold for more than a year, fast bowler Praveen Kumar has set his eyes on the 2013-14 domestic season to make a comeback to the Indian team. "I am fit. I have fully recovered from my tennis elbow. I am bowling well these days. I am now eying a comeback to the Indian team by putting up a consistent performance in the domestic circuit," said Praveen at the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board awards in New Delhi on Monday. Shaken to the core by a BCCI suspension for unruly behaviour during the Corporate Trophy, Indian pacer Praveen Kumar is remorseful and has vowed not to repeat the incident in future. "It was wrong on my part. The episode should not have happened. I regret it now," Praveen told PTI while recalling the incident. "I have learnt how to control my anger. Indian medium-fast bowler Praveen Kumar, who was suspended by the BCCI following misconduct in a Corporate Trophy match, will be back in business soon. BCCI took the decision to lift his suspension in a disciplinary committee meeting two days ago. Mumbai Mirror sources though say that Praveen was severely reprimanded by the board.
