The third ODI between India and Bangladesh was abandoned due to persistent rain in Dhaka. The visitors scored 119 for nine after being asked to bat in a rain interrupted innings until the game was called off. India were reduced to 17 for four by the Bangladesh pace attack. The opening pair of Ajinkya Rahane and Robin Uthappa made a slow star scoring just 6 runs in first three over. After a slow start, India lost Robin Uthappa in the 5th over when he edged a Mashrafe Mortaza delivery. In a thrilling encounter, India won the rain reduced, low scoring second ODI by 47 runs (D/L method) to seal the three-match ODI series. Schedule: India’s ODI Tour of Bangladesh 2014

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the Itinerary of India tour of Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series in June. India will tour Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series after the IPL and before their departure for England. MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are unlikely to be on the tour ahead of a long season starting with the England trip and culminating with the 2015 World Cup. Dhoni has planned a family vacation and the BCCI is inclined towards resting the captain for a rigorous season starting with the England tour and culminating with the 2015 World Cup. Similarly, Kohli, who led India during the Asia Cup in March in the absence of the injured Dhoni, has also indicated to the BCCI hierarchy that he would prefer a break going into the hectic season. The other three players who have led India in the recent past are Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina.  None of them were part of the Asia Cup campaign.
