The Chennai Super Kings added the Champions League T20 2014 to their trophy cabinet after they defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets in the final of the Oppo CLT20 2014. The Chennai Super Kings fixed their date with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Oppo CLT20 2014 Final after they defeated Kings XI Punjab by 65 runs in the second semi-final played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The Chennai Super Kings took one step closer to progressing to the semi-finals of the Oppo CLT20 2014 after they defeated the Perth Scorchers by 13 runs in their final group stage match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
