# Bailey became the first Australian captain to aggregate 300-plus in a bilateral series, obliterating Ricky Ponting's tally of 295 in five innings at an average of 73.75, including a hundred and two fifties, vs West Indies in Australia in 2009-10.

# The previous best by an Australian captain vs India in a bilateral series was 267 (ave.44.50) in six matches in India in 2009-10 by Ricky Ponting.

# Bailey enjoys an outstanding record in ODIs - his tally being 1379 runs at an average of 53.03 in 33 matches.  As captain, his average is 62.66 - his tally being 564 in ten innings, including six fifties.

# Bailey's 98 off 94 balls is the highest individual score at Ranchi in ODIs.

# Glenn Maxwell (92 off 77 balls) has posted a career-best score in ODIs, obliterating the 56 not out vs Pakistan at Sharjah on September 3, 2012.

# Maxwell's fourth fifty in ODIs is his second vs India - his first vs India being 53 at Jaipur on October 16, 2013.

# For the fourth time in an ODI, two individual scores in the nervous nineties have been recorded for Australia - the first three instances vs South Africa at Port Elizabeth on April 6, 2002; vs South Africa at Bassetere on March 24, 2007  and vs England at The Oval on June 30, 2010.

# Bailey and Maxwell were associated in a 153-run stand - Australia's highest for the fifth wicket vs India in ODIs, eclipsing the 144 between Michael Clarke and Bradd Haddin at Bangalore on September 29, 2007.

# The aforesaid partnership is Australia's fifth highest for the fifth wicket in ODIs.

# The 153-run partnership is the highest by any pair for the fifth wicket vs India in ODIs in India.

# Australia have recorded 38 sixes - the highest registered by them in a bilateral series.

# Mohammed Shami (3/42) has produced his best bowling performance in ODIs, eclipsing the 2 for 25 vs Zimbabwe at Harare on July 28, 2013.

# Ravindra Jadeja took his tally to 41 at 22.21 runs apiece in 26 matches - the highest by a bowler this year in ODIs.

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata.
