- Ravindra Jadeja won his fifth Man of the Match award – three of them have come against England.
- Jadeja against England: Matches - 10, Runs - 220, Batting Average - 44.00, Wickets - 17, Bowling Average - 23.47.Against all others: Matches - 52, Runs - 748, Batting Average - 26.71, Wickets - 46, Bowl Average - 41.50
- Ravindra Jadeja (61*) made his sixth ODI fifty. This was, however, the first time his fifty came in a winning cause for India.
- Raina, Dhoni and Jadeja scored 188 runs during Indian innings – the highest combined contribution by Nos.5, 6 and 7 in an innings against England. Interestingly, the previous record was also held by India. At Indore in 2009 Yuvraj (118), Dhoni (15) and Yusuf Pathan (50*) had contributed 183 runs.
