Raina, Dhoni and Jadeja scored 188 runs during Indian innings – the highest combined contribution by Nos.5, 6 and 7 in an innings against England. Interestingly, the previous record was also held by India. At Indore in 2009 Yuvraj (118), Dhoni (15) and Yusuf Pathan (50*) had contributed 183 runs.


Thanks to a brilliant all-round performance from Ravindra Jadeja, India drew level (1-1) in the five-match series against England. The Saurashtra all-rounder initially scored a 37-ball 61* to help the home team to 285/5, and then, he returned a superlative performance with the ball as well by bagging two key England wickets. Thanks to his exploits, Jadeja was adjudged Man of the Match – his fifth such award. Out of these five awards, three have come against England.
