# Under MS Dhoni's captaincy, Tendulkar averages 66.26 - 2717 runs in 48 innings, including eleven hundreds and ten fifties.

# Darren Sammy (42) has recorded his highest innings against India, surpassing the 25 at Kingston in June 2011.

# Ravichandran Ashwin's figures (6/47) are the third best in an innings by an Indian bowler on debut, next only to Narendra Hirwani (8/61 + 8/75) against West Indies at Chennai in January 1988.

# The only two other bowlers to have taken 6 wickets in an innings on debut are Abid Ali (6/55 against Australia at Adelaide in December 1967) and Dilip Doshi (6/103 against Australia at Chennai in September 1979).

# Ashwin's match figures of 9 for 128 are the second best by an Indian bowler on Test debut, next only to Narendra Hirwani's 16/136 against West Indies at Chennai in January 1988.

# Shivnarine Chanderpaul (1987 runs at an average of 68.51 in 22 Tests) needs 13 runs to complete 2,000 runs against India in Tests.

# Marlon Samuels has recorded his sixth duck in Tests - his second against India.

# Virender Sehwag (55 & 55) has recorded a fifty in each innings of a Test match against West Indies for the first time.

# Sehwag's 29th Test fifty is his fourth against the West Indies.

# Sehwag averages 53.78 against the West Indies - 753 runs in eight Tests, including two hundreds and four fifties.

# Umesh Yadav (2/36) picked his maiden Test wicket.

# Rahul Dravid has taken his batting average to 59.42 in Tests in 2011 - 832 runs in nine Tests, including four centuries and two fifties.

# Dravid averages 64.55 against the West Indies - 1743 runs in 21 Tests, including four centuries and twelve fifties.

# West Indies' 276 for five off 85.3 overs is the highest successful chase in the fourth innings of a Test match at the Feroz Shah Kotla, achieved in 1987-88.
