Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. India is yet to win an ODI at this venue. They have lost all three matches played here, two of which have been against Australia and South Africa.
New ODI rules
Two important rule changes introduced by the ICC for ODI cricket since October 1, 2011.
1. They are the use of two balls in each innings of a match.
2. The batting and bowling power plays can now only be taken between the 16th and the 40th over.
Trivia:
England has not crushed India in an ODI series in India since 1984-85. Back then, the David Gower’s captaincy England team beat Sunil Gavaskar’s captaincy India 4-1.
Kieswetter, Cook, Bairstow, Dernbach and Finn will be playing their first ODI in India.
